Mrs. Eva Mae Kuykendall age 86, of Keystone Heights passed away at the Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center on Thursday, September 25, 2014. She was born March 22, 1928 in Theressa to the late Sidney and Mattie Martha (Batton) Triest and was a homemaker. Mrs. Kuykendall was a 1948 graduate of Bradford High and was a member of Hope Baptist Church; she enjoyed playing cards and loved fishing, camping and cooking for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son John Wayne Kuykendall and three siblings, Thomas Triest, Leon Triest and Ervin Triest. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, James Leon Kuykendall; three children, Jim Kuykendall (Sandie) and Joanne Kuykendall Davenport all of Keystone Heights and Sherry Newsome (Doyle) of Jacksonville. Also left behind is one brother, Ernest Triest of Keystone Heights and a twin sister, Lilly Mae Eiland of Inglis, along with seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2014 in Hope Baptist Church with Dr. G.E. Coons and Dr. Larry Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the beginning of services. Interment will follow at the Hope Baptist Cemetery.
