Evelyn Sumner Parrish Booth, of Starke, passed away peacefully on October 12th at Haven Hospice in Palatka following a brief illness. She was 86 years old. Born and raised in Lawtey she lived most of her life in Bradford county with the past 40 years living near Crosby Lake. Evelyn loved the Lord and loved being a member of Smyrna Baptist Church of Starke. She enjoyed meeting people and spent her retirement years operating a small business at home as well as at the Waldo Flea Market. Most people would know her as the "flag lady" on 100 west where she never met a stranger. Evelyn was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Betty Eckman. She is survived by her daughter, Rosalee Hagar of Grandin, her son Stacy (Brenda) Parrish of Starke and her sister Nancy (Zoltan) Jakab of Williston. 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Burial was at Crosby cemetery with a private graveside service.Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME STARKE: 904-964-6200.
