Evelyn Juanita Houchens, 54 of Alachua, passed away on Monday, January 20th, 2014 Shands @ UF. Evelyn was born in Coral Gables, FL on December 31st 1959. Evelyn was a homemaker and loved to taking care of her family, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Evelyn loved horses and anything to do with the outdoors including gardening and fishing.Evelyn is survived by her husband Robert Houchens of Alachua, daughters Jennifer Brown of High Springs and Heather Houchens of Gainesville and two grandsons Cedric Carter and Masen Brown.A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Summit Church at 610 Santa Fe Blvd, High Springs, FL
