Evelyn Inez Perry

Mrs. Evelyn Inez Perry, age 94, of Hampton passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Shands UF in Gainesville. She was born in Youngstown on May 26, 1921 to the late Ira and Ola (Harrison) Chason. Mrs. Perry was a longtime resident of Hampton and was the owner of a chicken farm. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. Her other hobbies were making crafts, personalized photo albums and gardening. Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her husband, Acey H. Perry, her daughter Carolyn Perry and four grandchildren. Survivors are her daughter, Ruth Paladino of Hampton, one sister; Edith C. Bruce of Gainesville, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Perry will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor Kermit Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Gainesville at Evergreen Cemetery.
