Evelyn L Scheer -82 years old born February 18, 1942, Passed away at home on May 7,2024 after a very long fight with Alzheimer's/Dementia disease, She is survived by her husband and caregiver Richard J Scheer 84, They were married for exactly 63 years 8 months to the day of her passing, also survived by a son -George Anthony Scheer (Tony) and a daughter -Donna Marie Smith/ husband Jay Smith along with 2 Grandchildren -Courtney Marie Sheridan/ husband Beau Sheridan and Anthony James Scheer (AJ), she had 2-Step Grandchildren -Heather and Stephanie Brown, 2 Great grandchildren -Beau Reed & Bailer Lee Sheridan and 3 step great grandchildren -Donald, DeeDee and John Brown, with so many nieces and nephews, she has 2 surviving sisters out of the 12 siblings in the Thomas Family, they are Virginia (oldest) Maryann (youngest sister). She was a Graduate of Darien GA High School -Class of 1959, where she loved to play Basketball! She was a Great Mom, Grandma, Aunt and friend to all she came in contact with, she was a Beautiful Soul inside and out! She was a hair stylist for many years but her final job as a Crossing Guard with Clay County Sheriff's Department @ Keystone Heights Elementary School, this was so rewarding to her, she absolutely loved those kids!! The Family will be having her services held in Georgia where her ashes will be placed at the family grave site located behind Cresent Baptist Church in Townsend GA, we will notify Family and friends of the date and time once arrangements have been finalized.
