Evelyn "Joyce" Smith, 88, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Joyce was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1935, to Samuel and Mary Ruth (Cromwell) Brenner. Joyce was married to Jiles E. Smith. Joyce worked as the Assistant Vice President for Florida National Bank of Deland and then worked as the Office Manager for Acoustic Engineering in Gainesville. She enjoyed gardening, sudoku, family, and her beloved dogs.Joyce is survived by her children Steven Smith and Linda Smith-Gonzalez (Frank), her sister Toni Kenny (Frank) and her grandchildren, Jessica Gonzalez, Sophia Gonzalez, and Travis Fanno. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mary Ruth Brenner as well as her husband, Jiles E. Smith.
