Fannie Mae Williams Born: October 23, 1919 Died: September 14, 2011 Services: Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 11:00 in New Hope Baptist Temple, 9900 103rd Street, Jacksonville, FL 32210. also Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 11:00 in Cluster Baptist Church, AL-32, Aliceville, AL 35442. Visitation: The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services.Mrs. Fannie Mae WilliamsFannie Mae Williams (Fan) was born October 23, 1919 in a place called Stone Place near Macon, Mississippi. After leaving Stone Place the family moved to a place called Bushes, Alabama. There in Bushes, Bobby (Bo), Sylone (Hon-Doll/Tee-Wee) Luke (Man), R L (Nenn), Lovelle (Red), and Flozell Jr. (Bud) were born. Soon the family moved back to Mississippi, a place called the Robinson Plantation, there Sadie (Bae-Bee) Earlie James (Bubu) and Vera Mae (Sister) were Born. This completed the circle of children born to Flozell and Katie Windham.Fannie Mae confessed Christ early as her personal savior and served her family, church and community wherever she was throughout her life. She departed this life at her home in Starke, Florida Wednesday Morning, September 14, 2011 at 5:30 AM. She was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, and five brothers. She leaves to morn her passing one son, Herbert C. (MariaFe) Winston of Jacksonville, Florida and a daughter, Rosie Mae Greggs of Irvington, New Jersey, five sisters: Sylone Windham of Aliceville, Alabama, Sadie W. Bedford of Chicago, Illinois, Vera Mae Style of Newark, New Jersey, Willie Belle (Billy Joe) Bonner, Materia (Robert) Wilkins all of Aliceville, Alabama, and Claudia (Thomas) Jones of Minneapolis, Minnesota, two brothers: R L Windham of Detroit, Michigan and Earlie James Windham of Chicago, Illinois, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.A viewing for Mrs. Williams will be on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with home going services starting at 11 oclock in New Hope Baptist Temple, 9900 103rd Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32210. Pastor Charles Bolt will officiate. A second viewing will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with going home services beginning at 11 oclock in Cluster Baptist Church, AL-32, Aliceville, Alabama 35442. Interment will follow in the Community Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Cox officiating.Lavenders Funeral Services, 11233 Hwy 17 S., Aliceville, AL 35442, 205-373-2420 will be in charge of the Alabama arrangements.In lieu of flowers please make donations in honor of Mrs. Fannie Mae Williams to the Youth Group of either Cluster Baptist Church or New Hope Baptist Temple.
