Fannie Johns Young

Mrs. Fannie Johns Young, age 75 of Keystone Heights passed away at her home Sunday, June 16, 2019. She was born April 19, 1944, in Norfolk Virginia to George Roscoe and Nancy Elizabeth (Merritt) Johns. Mrs. Young moved to Keystone Heights in 1982 from Lake City and was a homemaker. She was a talented painter and enjoyed fishing, sewing and ceramics. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son Johnnie Davilee Walker; husbands David Walker, Sr. and William "Bill" Cason Young and three siblings George Johns, Jack Johns and Maxine Moore. Mrs. Young is survived by four children Georgeanna "Anne" Troup and Alicia Walker both of Green Cove Springs, David Walker, Jr. of Sanderson and Daniel Walker, Sr. of Keystone Heights along with five siblings Barbara "Midge" Sparks, Nancy Sue Cabino, Marylou Ginn, Kathleen Fabricus and Joseph Peter Johns. Also left behind are four step children Margi, Cheryl, Renea and Mark; eight-teen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends. Viewing for Mrs. Young will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel.
