Faye Thomas

Mrs. Faye Thomas, 82 of Middleburg, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Thomas was born November 19, 1938 in Vinegar Bend, Alabama to parents Nelson and Lottie (Baxter) Holland. She had several careers in her lifetime, including real estate and retail sales. But her lifelong passion was as a crafter, and was working on projects constantly. Faye was a very talented crafter and enjoyed sewing, painting, making ceramics, and card making. In addition to her parents, her husband, Kenneth Floyd Thomas, and daughter, Rita Thomas Dillow, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Thomas and wife Misty of Switzerland, FL, Beverly Thomas of Sugar Grove, IL, Karin Coates and husband Kevin of Tyler, TX, sister, Nadine Walker and husband Billy of Citronelle, AL, eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Her life will be celebrated at a funeral service to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Conner officiating. The family will hold a visitation before the funeral, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Penney Farms Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
