Felicita Concepcion Pemberton, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, known to everyone as Gloria, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on May 1, 1930, in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Felicita lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and dedication to her family.
With an Associate's Degree to her name, Felicita found fulfillment in her role as an Administrative Assistant within the education industry, working for the Department of Education. Her commitment to education and support for others had a lasting impact on the lives she touched. Felicita was a vital force in the lives of her children and grandchildren, instilling in them the values of hard work, compassion, and perseverance.
Felicita is survived by her two daughters, Messelena Felicia Pemberton - Rowe and Melisa Louisa Pemberton - Batchelor; Son-In-Laws, Gene R. Rowe, Sr. and Marc Batchelor and her cherished grandchildren, Blake Batchelor, Haniph E. Gaston, and fiancé Shakita Watson; Kliphtina L, Marrero; Jamaelise F. J. Benoit and husband Kendel Benoit; Messelena F. P. Gaston-Moolenaar and husband Keith Moolenaar; James O. Gaston, II and fiancé Audrey Harris, and granddaughter Jacquelyne K. Gaston. Great grandchildren are as followed: Kymani Watson, Miguel A. Marrero, Jr., Angel Marrero, Emanuel C. Marrero, Evasol F. Marrero, Ezekiel Marrero, Esella F. Marrero, Ja'Delias M. Gaston, Noah Y. Moolenaar, Noel K. Moolenaar, Aaliyah E. Moolenaar, Jaliyah I. Moolenaar, Kira Benoit, Kingston Benoit, and Nyarai A. Joseph. As well as friends, Aaliyah Sellers, Arianna Davis and her little friend till the end Gene R. Rowe, III, along with many nieces and nephew too many to mention. Each of them carries forward her spirit and legacy, honoring her memory in their daily lives.
As we say goodbye to Felicita, we remember her as a nurturing, loving soul who filled the hearts of those around her with warmth and grace. Her memory will continue to live on in the stories shared and the lives she inspired. Rest in peace, dear Felicita; you will be forever missed.
Felicita was preceded in death by: Clifford R. Pemberton (husband), Thomas Concepcion (Father), Hortencia Concepcion (Mother), Frank Elmo Jacobs, Jr. (Son), and Jacques A. Gaston (grandson)
