Floe Lynn DeGoursey died peacefully at home on Friday, March 13, following a long illness, with her husband at her side. She was born in Baxley, GA 80 years ago, and spent much of her youth in Milford, CT. Hearts filled with sadness are her husband of 64 years, Leo; and sons Gary (Sherry), Mark (Katie), and daughter Rene' Lown. Two grandsons that were her joy are Jason (Paige) and Dustin (Kristen), along with Great granddaughters Emily, Callie, and Great Grandson Brooker. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their children; along with a host of adoring friends and other family members. She is already dearly missed, but had an unwavering faith that her Lord Jesus would receive her and keep her. A gathering of friends is planned for Thursday night from 7 to 9 at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Homes 4140 University Boulevard, South. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20 at Mandarin United Methodist Church, 11270 San Jose' Blvd., with The Reverend Deborah A. McLeod officiating. Then following services friends will gather together in Wesley Hall for refreshments. The family will join them after a brief service of committal at Mandarin Cemetery.
