Mrs. Florence Annett Kelley, 86 of Green Cove Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Mrs. Kelley was born November 12, 1936 in Millwood, Georgia to parents L.O. and Sula (Murphy) Ricketson. She was a longtime florist at Winn-Dixie and loved plants and flowers. Her family held a special place in her heart and she loved them dearly. The best way to describe Florence is by her kind and nurturing spirit. Her family came first and she would do anything in her power to make sure they were always taken care of. Shed been on a fair share of adventures but even then, her favorite time always seemed to be surrounded by the people she loved and those who love her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie Sue Whiting, husband, Frank E. Kelley, and her brothers, Frankie Ricketson and Bud Ricketson. Survivors are her children, Tammy Whiting and Samuel Wade Kelley (Kristie) both of Green Cove Springs, and her siblings, Johnny Ricketson and Betty Foskey as well as eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, September 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Meek, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Santa Fe Cemetery in Branford.
