Florence W Strickland

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Florence W. Strickland, age 99, who departed this life on March 16, 2026, due to natural causes. She was born on December 26, 1926, in Wauchula, Florida. Florence was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and retired from Sunland Training Center, Gainesville, Florida.

Florence is survived by her niece/caregiver Sherlene Bostick; nephews Amos H. Philman, Emory (Pat) Philman, Eldon (Nancy) Philman; and numerous other relatives. Her warm heart and nurturing spirit will be fondly remembered by many. Florence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

The funeral services honoring Florence W. Strickland will take place on March 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The ceremony will occur at the burial site located on SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville, FL 32641. Friends, family, and all who knew Florence are invited to join in celebrating her remarkable life and legacy.
