Keystone Heights- Mr. Floyd Elmer Henschel, age 76 a resident of Keystone Heights since 1967 formerly of Maryland died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 in Gainesville.Born on April 4, 1932 in Watertown, Wisconsin he was the son of the late Elmer and Ethel (Hooker) Henschel. A twenty year career veteran of the U.S. Navy he earned the rank of Photographers Mate 1st Class. After retirement from the navy he was employed for a period of twenty years as a sign maker with Goldhead. Mr. Henschel was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the AmVets Post 86 of Keystone Heights. He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Margarete (Schroeder) Henschel. One daughter: Nancy Blackwell of Keystone Heights. Three step-children: Susan Blackwell of Keystone Heights, Linda Bedell of Cocoa Beach and Richard Bedell of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, one great granddaughter and five step-grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date.
