Frances Sarcone Cirulli

Frances Sarcone Cirulli , 88, a remarkable and larger-than-life wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend, left for heaven surrounded by love on July 2, 2016.Fran leaves behind a large, grieving but grateful family. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Armando Cirulli; her sister, Josephine Lalevee (Gainesville); her sister-in-law, Rosemarie Cirulli Considine (Syracuse,NY); children, all residing in Gainesville - Linda Cirulli-Burton (Jim); Debbie Cirulli Chapman (Bob); Joe Cirulli; Dan Cirulli (Brenda Geiger); Ro Cirulli Weaver; Mike Cirulli; and Crissy Cirulli; grandchildren and great grandchildren - Danielle Chapman; Kimmy Chapman (fianc Matthew Wiley); Ryan Wyrosdick (Chris) and Tyler, Christian, and Cameron; Tara Hill (Tommy) and Sawyer; Nick Cirulli; and Marie Cirulli. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Lee Weaver.Fran was born on January 29th, 1928, in Elmira, New York to Gennaro and Mary Sarcone. She graduated from St. Josephs School of Nursing in Elmira and spent 25 years as an RN at St. Josephs Hospital. We often joked that her nursing career, primarily in labor and delivery, was punctuated by her giving birth to seven children at that same location and going right back to work. When she moved to Gainesville, her son Joe put her to work in ReQuest Physical Therapy for several years.Frans indomitable spirit was one of her greatest features. Over the last five years of Armandos career as a naval officer, he was stationed at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo NY. He came back home every weekend, so it was up to her to carry the weight of raising her children and working. Somehow she managed to be truly great at both. She was on call for her large extended family (her mother had six siblings) and left the house literally around the clock to take care of older relatives, friends and neighbors who needed her compassion and nursing skills. This trait of helping, encouraging and nurturing stayed with her all her life. A prayerful woman, she was also a surrogate mother to countless people who had lost their own moms, a role she embodied with grace and a smile.A force of nature capable of moving mountains, she leaves spirit, courage, determination and, most importantly of all, love, engraved deeply on our collective hearts.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 10900 S.W. 24th Ave., Gainesville, on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
