Frank David Newmans, Sr. NEWMANS: Frank David Newmans Sr., 78, died on December 2, 2011. Mr. Newmans was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident. He was a Commercial Fisherman by trade and loved to be on the water Shrimping. When not doing that he enjoyed time piddling in his garage fixing things, smoking meat or mullet and just spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Elaine Lanier, sister, Martha Hayes and brother, Ira Newmans. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Ruth Naomi Newmans; 3 daughters, Martha Bates, Mary McGregor and Elizabeth Johnson (Eddie); 1 son, Frank David Newmans Jr., (Debra); 1 sister, Maude Roling; 1 brother, Joe D. Newmans; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM at George H.
