Frank P. Saladino, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 15, 1942, in Jacksonville to Frank Saladino and Lorena Canto, Frank lived a life dedicated to family, service, and the simple pleasures that brought joy to those around him.For nearly 54 years, Frank was married to the love of his life, Marie Saladino (ne Marconi). Their marriage was a beautiful partnership, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they raised two sons, Frank Saladino (Amy) and Anthony Saladino (Ashley), who were his pride and joy.Franks greatest joy came from his grandchildren: Lorena Grahl Saladino, Frank William Saladino, and Caroline Murphy Saladino. He loved being part of their lives, they brought him endless happiness, and his presence will remain a guiding light in their hearts.Franks strong Catholic faith was the cornerstone of his life. He served the church faithfully throughout his lifetime, setting an example of service and devotion. He passed down the importance of faith in God to his children and grandchildren, ensuring that his legacy of belief, prayer, and spiritual strength would continue to guide future generations.Frank is predeceased by his brother, Vincent S. Saladino, and leaves behind his two beloved sisters, Lorraine Montoto and Helen Oxford. He is also survived by his nephew, Vincent F. Saladino, and his nieces, Elena Saladino and Maria Oxford, all of whom he loved dearly and held close to his heart.He loved the game of golf and cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars and Florida Gators, passions he shared with family and friends. Summers spent at St. Pete Beach with his family created memories that lasted a lifetime, filled with the sound of the waves, family stories, and the occasional cigar on the sand.Frank had a deep appreciation for timeless music, often enjoying the sounds of Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, and Stevie Nicks. He also had a taste for classic drinks, savoring a well-made Manhattan in his earlier years and later favoring Grey Goose on the rocks with lemon. These simple pleasures were often enjoyed in the company of loved ones, accompanied by shared stories and heartfelt laughter.A man of steadfast dedication, Frank served his community honorably as a member of the Jacksonville Fire Department. His bravery, loyalty, and camaraderie left an indelible mark on those he worked with and the city he proudly served.Frank will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his vibrant personality, and the joyful memories he created. His warmth and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
