Frank David Smith

Rev. Frank David Smith 70 of Keystone Heights passed away at his home Sunday, January 10, 2021, suddenly. He was born April 2, 1950, in Corry, Pennsylvania to the late Rev. Frank D. and Faith (Scripture) Smith. At the age of 14 he began working at Lake Swan Camp until he started college at Toccoa Falls College where he earned his Ministerial Degree. He and his wife then served churches in nine different states and would fill in as the interim pastor when needed. After moving back to Keystone Heights seven years ago, Rev. Smith again assisted at Lake Swan Camp and also led weekly prayer meetings with our local pastors which would pray for Keystone Heights. Rev. Smith was also a well-known carpenter and enjoyed flipping houses as a hobby. He was a people person and never met a stranger. Rev. Smith leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 48 years Cherylbeth (Hall) of Keystone Heights and their daughter Marcia Smith of Nicholasville, Kentucky along with two siblings Rev. Lawrence A. Smith of Durham, North Carolina and Amy Hauser of Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Mr. Smiths wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, at Lake Swan Camp. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Lake Area Ministries, P.O.
