Frederick Roy Schulte 76 of High Springs, FL passed away on Monday the 04th of August 2014 at Shands Hospital due to a long illness. Fred Schulte was born on the 26th of June 1938 in New Orleans, LA he was preceded in death by his father John L. Schulte Sr. and his mother Henrietta Belanger. He was married to Willie Ann Schulte, who preceded him in death on the 15th of December 2012. Frederick graduated from Behrman High School in 1956. Mr. Schulte served in the Air force during the Cold War and remained close with his comrades and a devoted patriot. Frederick had numerous assignments as a fiber optics specialist traveling worldwide to spread the technology, educating many in his field.Mr. Schulte lived over 40 years in Lacombe, Louisiana. Frederick Schulte was a proud member of the American Legion, The VFW, and the Honor Guard.He was an avid fisherman enjoying every opportunity to fish with family and friends. Mr. Schulte enjoyed searching for American Indian Artifacts and donated his lavish collection to the Fountain Bleu State park. When in the Mandeville, Louisiana area stop in and see the Frederick R. Mr. Schulte was an outstanding citizen doing many acts of kindness throughout his life serving his county, honoring veteran and serving family and friends.He would entreat many with his traveling stories and of course many of them centered on great food. Mr. Schulte was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He did not meet a stranger and left the world a much better place because of kindness.Mr. Schulte is survived by Brenda Sherman (Smith) of Glenn Falls, New York, Sherri Swilley (Dennis) High Springs, Florida, Timothy L. Arrington (Rhonda) Lucedale, MS. Grandchildren: Jacques L. Mason (Melanie) San Diego, CA; Alexis Steiner (Robert) Orange Park, Florida; Brittney Walker (Josh) Newberry Florida; Lia Arrington Kansas City, Missouri, Corrie Eubanks (James) Lucedale, Mississippi, Stasia Spivy (Batsell) LaVergne, Tennessee; Aislinn Karsnak Greenville,NC; Lindsey Karsnak Greenville,NC; Dalton Arrington Lucedale, Mississippi. Eleven great grandchildren.He is survived by brothers John L. Schulte Jr., (Mary Lou) Winter Haven, Florida, David Schulte Sr., (Barbara) Louisiana as well as many nieces, nephews and many close friends.Mr. Schulte will be missed greatly by his faithful companion Little Girl and Freddie Dog.
