Obituary

Fumiko "Miko" Errington, 93, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and quiet strength.

Born on April 14, 1932, in Yokosuka, Japan, Fumiko met and married her beloved husband, Nicholas Errington of the U.S. Navy, who preceded her in death. Together, they made their home in the United States, where Fumiko built a beautiful life and raised a cherished family.

She was the devoted mother of three daughters—Elizabeth (Tom), Iris (Tim) and Elaine (John) —and the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her family was the heart of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them

Fumiko was a talented seamstress, known for her exquisite hand-sewn quilts, each one a reflection of her care. She also found joy in the kitchen—baking, cooking, and even catering—always ready to share something homemade with those she loved.

Her quiet strength, generous heart, and laughter will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will gather privately to honor her life at a later date.
