Stone, 60 of Keystone Heights died Tuesday; March 31, 2009 at the Orange Park Medical Center. Mr. Stone was born on December 10, 1948 to the late Rufus & Rahnell (New) Stone in Henderson, KY and had been a longtime resident of the Keystone Heights and Starke area. After retiring as Navy Chief Mr. Stone took up part time work for the Ace Hardware store in Keystone Heights. Mr. Stone was also a member of the Lake Hill Baptist Church, and was an avid Gator fan. In his spare time he loved to ride his grandchildren on his Harley Davidson. His survivors include his wife of 14 years: Elizabeth (Ewing) Stone of Keystone Heights. His children: Sonya Jones of Keystone Heights, Brandon Wiese of Iraq, and Jennifer Clifton of Tennessee. He is also survived by his siblings: Stoney Stone, Barry Stone, Jackie Stone, Johnny Stone, Jerry Stone, and Deanne Short, all of Kentucky. Two grandsons and one granddaughter. There are no services scheduled at this time. The family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 2119 SW 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608.
