Obituary

Mr. Geddas Ray Williams age 89, of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, August 30, 2013 at the Orange Park Medical Center. He was born in Warren, Ohio on June 4, 1924 to the late Joseph Raymond Augustus and Vera (Stowe) Williams. Mr. Williams had been resending in Keystone Heights since 1967 moving from Pennsylvania.He retired from Clay Electric as a Meter Repairman, and was a member of the Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Williams had also enjoyed camping and taking trips in his RV which he and his wife made to nearly every state. He was very creative, and enjoyed craft working. While his boys were growing up, Mr. Williams became a Boy Scout Master; he was very instrumental in forming the Boy Scouts and little league. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ida (Blood) Williams and their children, Robert ray Williams his wife Carol of Stevensville, Michigan, Mary Alice Williams of Keystone Heights, Joseph A. Williams his wife Libby of Vermilion, Ohio, Ellen Louise Harrington her husband Robert Dwayne of Starke, and Larry lee Williams of Jacksonville. Also surviving is ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:00 in Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Strickland officiating. The viewing will be held one hour prior to the services beginning.
