Funeral Mass for Mrs. Genevieve "Jen" Cecelia Brynildsen, 78, will held at 10:00AM Thursday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Michael J. Larkin and Father Callistus Onwere as Celebrants. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. A Vigil Service will be held at 6:30PM Wednesday, in the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South. Born February 24, 1937 in Union, New Jersey, Mrs. Brynildsen died Friday, July 10, 2015 in Jacksonville. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, an avid lifetime creator of art, and was retired from the Jacksonville Electric Authority. Mrs. Brynildsen was predeceased by three sons, Jeffrey, William and Robert Brynildsen and a granddaughter, Angela Russell. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Bruce Edward Brynildsen, Sr.; a daughter, Bridget (William) Russell, both of Jacksonville; four sons, Bruce E. (Chris) Brynildsen, Jr. of Canton, North Carolina, Michael A. (Tammy) Brynildsen of Jacksonville, James L. (Cathy) Brynildsen of Orange Park, FL and Jon E.
