Mr. George Edward "Georgie" Davis age 59, of Hampton passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 suddenly. Mr. Davis was born on June 5, 1955 in Graceville, AL and was a longtime resident of Hampton. Georgie was an active member of Hampton Mission Church. He was a master craftsman in the cabinet industry, loved his family dearly, enjoyed going to church and reading the Bible. Preceding him in death was his son Sean Davis, parents George and Betty Davis and Mildred (Hawkins) Davis, and his brother William Carl Davis. Survivors are: daughter: Kaitlin Davis of Hampton, sisters: Carol Erbay (Paul) of Winterville, NC, Amy Davis of Hampton, Virginia "Ginny" Qualls (Mike) of Starke, brother: Scott Davis (Melissa) of Hampton, sister-in-law: Kay Davis of Fleming Island, nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles. The family will receive friends at the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home on THURSDAY, MAY 14, 2015 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. also in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL. Interment will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery with Reverend John Hodges officiating.
