FELLNER: It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of George Leroy Fellner on March 4, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born on June 2, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida, and was a lifelong resident. He was a gentle giant, a beacon of light in the lives of manyselfless, humble, and kind, always putting others before himself.George enjoyed playing both the guitar and piano, as well as cooking. He had a passion for sports, including English soccer, baseball, football, barrel racing, and the PBR. He worked in HVAC sales for over 40 years, making many friends in the business world. George was a man of faith and a pillar of the community.He was predeceased by his father, Frank Fellner, and his mother, Helen (Cook) Fellner. He is survived by his dear friend, who was like a daughter to him, Debbie "Cowgirl" McCollum (Chad), along with a host of friends.A gathering of friends will take place on March 11, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard South, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
