George Bludgett Flynn

Mr. George Bludgett Flynn, Jr., age 91, of Starke, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 with family by his side. He was born in Starke on November 2, 1925 to the late George B. and Florence (Canova) Flynn, Sr., and was a proud graduate of Bradford High School and The University of Florida, School of Pharmacy. Passionate to honor the memory of his three older cousins, he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He began his post-war career with The State of Florida Narcotics Bureau where he served as a field agent. Mr. Flynn spent the rest of his professional career as a licensed pharmacist in both Bradford and Union County. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jeneva McAteer Flynn in 2011; his sister, Betty Anne Phillips; his half-sister, Martha McClane, and half-brother Bill Powell. Survivors are his daughter, Neva Jayne (Jerry) Kidd of Tallahassee; two sons, James R. "Reggie" (Ellen) Flynn of Starke and George Gray (Lisa Richards) Flynn of Orange Park. Also left behind are four grandchildren, Molly Canova Flynn, Justin Flynn (Alyssa) Kidd, George Walker Flynn, and Hayley Michelle Flynn. Only a private family memorial service will be held.
