KIRK; George Leo Kirk 78, of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL, surrounded by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held by the graveside at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, FL 32218 on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 12:30PM (Lane 1). He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and has been a life long fan of the Georgia Bull Dogs. George had a long career in the Navy having served in Vietnam for several tours. He served for thirty years from 1963 to 1993 and retired as a Master Chief. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Kirk, a daughter Anissa (Rod) Rhode, three sons; Chuck (Donna) Kirk, Ken Kirk and Bill (Laura) Kirk. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Buddy Kirk. George enjoyed playing golf and hanging out with his friends where he lived. He will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H.
