MOURO: Funeral services for Mr. George F. Mouro III, 84, who passed away on March 20, 2025, will be held Saturday at 11:00 March 29, 2025, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd. South, Jacksonville, Florida 32216, with Rev. Brian Poole officiating, The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Mr. Mouro was a native of Richmond, Virginia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was the Owner and President of A1 Laundry, Inc. He was a member of the William B. Barnett Lodge F& A.M. #187 and was very active in the Morocco Shrine. He was a Methodist by faith. Preceded in death by his son, the late Rick Newell; Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Dolores I. Mouro; 2 daughters, Kim Soloway (Steve) and Donna Thigpen; 1 daughter in law, Kim Newell;2 sons, Bobby Newell (Rachel) and George F. Mouro IV (Jaime); 2 brothers, Tommy Mouro Sr. (Jean) and Robert Mouro Sr. (Lori); 13 grandchildren; Megan, DJ, Matt, Danielle, Piper, Alan, Noah, Caroline, Savannah, Alice, Emily, Georgia, Faith; 9 Great-Grandchildren, Lillie, Dracen, Lucas, Peyton, Gavin, Ethan, Harper, Emily and Hunter.
