Born on February 20, 1981, George lived with a big heart and an even bigger presence.He was full of lifealways smiling, always laughing, and always moving. Whether he was doing calisthenics, writing music and poetry, or just being out in nature, George found beauty in motion and meaning in expression. He wore his heart on his sleeve and loved deeply. A true romantic at heart, he never shied away from telling people how much they meant to him.George was a proud father to Damien Ortiz and Seth Torres, and he adored his two grandchildren, Elias and Eliana. He is survived by his loving mother, Maria Couret; his brother, Alex Couret; and a large extended family filled with cousins who were more like siblings. George was the first of that close-knit generation to pass, and his absence will be felt profoundly.A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home in Green Cove Springs. Cremation will follow, and George will be laid to rest alongside his beloved grandparents, Carlos and Gertrude Couret, at Hickory Grove Cemetery.Georges memory will live on in the stories, the laughter, and the love he shared so freely.
