Mr. George Robert Spivey, 88 of Fleming Island, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022. Mr. Spivey was born October 8, 1933 in Waycross, Georgia to parents James and Ollie (Smith) Spivey. George served in the National Guard and retired after many years from JEA as a Power Plant Engineer. He enjoyed playing musical instruments, especially the guitar and steel guitar and was also an avid race car driver. He will be remembered as a devoted father, husband, and grandfather. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Nancy Caroline (Dryden) Spivey, daughter, Debra L. Koy, son, Derek Judd (Belinda), sister, Grace Matthews (Edwin), grandson, Joshua Koy, five great grandchildren, and special niece, Marsha Hubbard. Burial will be held at a later date at Magnolia Cemetery.
