Gerald Everett Savery, Sr.

Gerald Everett Savery, Sr., age 81, passed away on Thursday March 28, 2019 at his home in Jacksonville. A Jacksonville native, Gerald was born here on December 15, 1937 to John Clifford Savery, Sr. & Nettie Josephine Savery. After serving in the United States Army, Mr. Savery went on to work for the Duval County School Board where he retired from after more than 40 years of service as a carpenter.A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday April 1, 2019 in Hogan Baptist Church, 8045 Hogan Rd., with Rev. Peter Copeland officiating. Interment will follow, with Military Honors, at Greenlawn Cemetery.
