Gertrude C. "Trudy" Patrick, 85, passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 in Jacksonville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 18, 2014 at the crypt-side in Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N. Main Street. Trudy was born in Jacksonville on July 29, 1929 to Davie Mercer Collins & Ruby Lastinger Collins. She was a retired budget analyst for the U.S. government, working under the Department of Defense. Trudy was a very active woman who lived her life to the fullest. Along with her husband, Richard, she enjoyed square dancing, boating, traveling, her bible study group at First Baptist Church and her many close friends. Trudy's greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren. Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Patrick; she is survived by her daughters, Dorinda Bauman and Cathy J. Patrick; son, Gary Perl; her grandchildren, Blakely, Caitlin, Joshua, Elisabeth great granddaughter, Callan and many extended family members, friends & church family.
