Gertrude Bessie "Trudie" Riggs Gertrude Bessie Trudie Riggs 98, a long time resident of Jacksonville passed away September 23, 2011. A native of McAdenville, N. C. she was a homemaker, a Jehovahs Witness by faith, and had owned and operated Trudies Tavern on North Main Street for over fifty years. She is survived by 2 daughters: Jennifer L. Dillon, and Rose Ann Johnson, 1 son: Peter S. Reynolds, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
