Funeral Mass for Mrs. Giovanna Chianese Mercer, 91, will be held at 10:00A.M. Thursday, April 28th in Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with Father Jhon Guarnizo , Celebrant. Entombment will be in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. Born October 24, 1924 in Naples, Italy to Raffaela and Leonardo Chianese, Mrs. Mercer died Friday, April 22, 2016 in Jacksonville. She came to America in 1946 and was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Mrs. Mercer was a loving mother figure to many through Catholic Charities. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Mercer Price, a son, Thomas Lee Mercer II both of Melbourne, FL, a son, Robert W. Mercer of Jacksonville; two sisters, Anna Cante and Marie Angelino, a brother Gigino Chianese, all of Italy; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H.
