Gladys de Jesus Rex, 77, passed away at her home in Gainesville on November 13, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.She was born in Lagunillas, Venezuela. She met her husband of 55 years, Vincent Rex, in Tia Juana, Venezuela. They raised four children, Alfonso, Anna Maria Kidney, Alexandra and Kathryn. The family moved to Gainesville in 1974. Gladys was a devoted wife and mother.She is survived by Vincent of Gainesville; Alexandra of Arlington, VA; Kathryn of Gainesville; sisters, Esperanza and Rosa of Venezuela and a vast extended family.
