Glenda B. Garraway

Glenda B. Garraway, 82, passed away on December 25, 2015 in Jacksonville.A Jacksonville native, she was born on August 27, 1933 to Horace and Minnie Baxley. Mrs. Garraway was a longtime, faithful member of Glynlea Grace United Methodist Church as well as the Christian organization, Walk to Emmaus. She will be remembered as a true "Prayer Warrior". She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling; having been to many wonderful destinations throughout the country and around the world due to her husbands military service.The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday December 28, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.in George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S., Jacksonville, FL 32216. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 29, 2015 in Glynlea Grace United Methodist Church, 6429 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32211. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.Mrs. Garraway was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Garraway. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene G. Bonn; sons Prentiss M. Garraway (Dayna) & William R.
