Gloria Jean Lofthouse Allen

Gloria Jean Lofthouse Allen age 66, of Keystone Heights passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born in Elkton, Maryland on November 30, 1949 to the late Joseph L. and Agnes (Abbott) Lofthouse. Gloria had worked as a Registered Nurse and loved to go on cruises. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, liked playing bingo, and enjoyed reading.Preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Thomas Allen, Sr., she is survived by her children, Janine Allen Goolsby (John), Joseph Francis Allen (Lisa) all of Keystone Heights, John Thomas Allen, Jr. of Gainesville, and Julie Bryan (Steve) of Titusville;two granddaughters, Ashleigh Allen of Gainesville and Lexi Allen of Keystone Heights; along with numerous other grandchildren, family members, and friends.The family will have a viewing at the funeral home, Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. with a vigil service at 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at St. William Catholic Church with Father Mike Williams presiding. Interment will follow at Keystone Heights Cemetery.
