Gloria Faye Gerhart

Mrs. Gloria Faye Gerhart age 77, of Melrose passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after an extended illness. Mrs. Gerhart was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Melvin and Florence Ernestine (Thompson) Crockett. She has been a resident of Melrose for over 50 years, having moved from Jacksonville after marrying her sweetheart, Richard.She worked in the food service industry for many years and retired as a Deli Clerk from Food Lion. Gloria enjoyed baking, gardening, and growing flowers. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Interlachen. Mrs. Gerhart is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard D. Gerhart of Melrose; daughter, Gloria "Faye" Van Meurs of Middleburg; sisters, Linda Westbrook, Sue Self, Rosemary McEwan, and Sonia Carter; brothers, Sam Crockett and Melvin Crockett; along with numerous other family members and friends.A memorial service will be held at a later date.Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E.
