Gwendolyn Louise Cheek Gwendolyn Louise Cheek, 86, passed away December 24, 2011 at the Community Hospice of N/E Florida, Acosta-Rua Center. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on June 30, 1925 to Edward and Katie Parero and was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cheek was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 63 years, William H. Cheek on May 31, 2008. She is survived by her brother Edward Parero (Suzi), daughters Cathy Scholz (Dennis), Cindy Boardman (Larry), and Sally Winn; and grandchildren Suzanne Kessler (Robert), Kyle Scholz (Bonnie), Angela DeMonbreun (Gary), Liz Shahoori, and Alexandra Perpall; and great grandchildren, Crystian DeMonbreum, Eric and Jared Scholz and Garrett, and Samantha Scholz. Also her niece and nephew Paula Hansell and Ted Parero. Mrs. Cheek will be remembered for her integrity, courage, wisdom, and faith.A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 in celebration of her life in the chapel of Arlington United Methodist Church, located at 1400 University Blvd., N., Jacksonville, FL 32211, with Rev.
