Hallie Amelia Mitchell Aycock, 102, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Jacksonville Nursing and Rehab, where she resided for a number of years. She was the wife of the late Emory L. Aycock. She was born in Hall County, Georgia on February 19, 1913, moved to Jacksonville with her husband in 1944, and lived on Dunn Avenue. She was a member of the Garden City United Methodist Church since moving to Jacksonville. Mrs. Aycock will be remembered for her love of life, her family, her friends, her church, and the many animals who were her companions through the years. She is survived by her children Hilda Duncan Broward (Tom), Emory Daniel Aycock (Barbara; deceased), David Frederick Aycock (Wonji), grandchildren Lisa Broward (Lee Hughes), Kathy Ralston (Chuck), Dr. Joyce Aycock (Bob Doeble), Daniel Aycock (Rebecca), Amelia L. Aycock, and great-grandchildren, Will, Carolyn, Tess, Mina, Alexander, and Julian. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, April 18 at 2:00PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, Florida, with Reverend Alan Patz.
