Hao Duong, 81 of Saigon, Vietnam, passed away peacefully December 2 nd , 2023, at ShandsHospital in Gainesville, Florida.Funeral Service will be held at Forest Meadow Funeral Home on Thursday December 7 th from10am to 2pm. A traditional Buddhist Ceremony will take place during the final hour.Hao was born in China on June 18 th , 1942. She moved with her family to Vietnam during the warwhen she was young. Her family was in the noodle making business and thus she grew upworking in the noodle factory. She later married her husband Chuong Ha.Hao was a dedicated mother and wife. She was a strong woman and had to be raising sevenchildren in a poverty-stricken Vietnam. She immigrated to America in 1991 and reunited withher husband who had come to America in the early 80s.Together they found passion in food and went on to work and eventually open their ownrestaurant up till Hao had a stroke in 2000. Her husband then also had to retire to take care ofher. Hao never lost her passion for food, but now it was eating rather than cooking.Hao was a very lucky woman to have a wonderful husband and children to take care of her andshe travelled to many places. She will be truly missed.Hao is survived by three sons and three daughters. Her oldest son, Hoa Du Ha and wife, her sonHoa Thieu Ha and wife, and son Hoa Tuan Ha. Her oldest daughter Chi Kiet Cheung andhusband, daughter Trinh Kiet Ha and husband, youngest daughter Binh Kiet Ha and husband.Along with 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
