Harold Kennedy Earnest, better known as Kenny, was born on May 28, 1954, to Dorothy and Harold Earnest in Beltsville, Maryland. He graduated from Sandalwood High School in 1973 and went on to use his entrepreneurial abilities to build Earnest Air & Automotive, a very successful Automotive repair company specializing in large vehicles and fleets. He took great pride in building a business that was known for quality service and putting customer care first. He and his wife, Liz, met in high school and between dating and marriage were together for 50 wonderful years and raised a daughter who loves them dearly. To know Kenny was to love him. He had an infectious laugh, loved to have fun, and while he was serious about life, he never took life too seriously. He was an avid water and snow skier. He loved spending time in his backyard and had a green thumb and a knack for landscaping. However, he is best known for his ability to be a great husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, which is attested to by the fact that even after an 8-year battle with early onset Alzheimers, he was always surrounded by friends and family who loved him and sat in the discomfort of this disease to be by his side. Since being diagnosed with Alzheimers, he met each day with a smile, each challenge with a laugh, and each setback with humility. Even during the longest of days, he managed to get the most out of what life gave him and put a smile on everyones face who met him.He is survived by his wife, Liz Earnest, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Earnest and Jamey Evoniuk, and 4 grandchildren: Kennedy, Charlee, and Catherine Evoniuk and Anthony Corrente, and his two sisters and best of friends, Lorilyne Earnest Pinkerton and Dr. Sherilyne Earnest Dougherty and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his beautiful life will be held at their family home on December 4th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., an organization that provided peace and comfort in his final days.Click on link below for information regarding reception.Reception To Follow.
