Innes, Harold A.Harold A. Innes, Sr., age 86, passed away on Saturday August 7, 2021 at home in Satsuma, FL; surrounded by loving family. A Jacksonville native, Harold was born here on May 2, 1935, to Edwin John Innes & Ethel E. Freeman Innes. After high school, he served his country proudly as a member of the National Guard. Harold worked for many years at CSX Railroad as a carman until his retirement. Harold enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his family, friends & his Open Bible Baptist Church family.Harold was preceded in death by his parents; by his beloved wife, Martha Bell Innes and by 7 of his siblings. He is survived by a son, Harold "Hal" A. Innes, Jr. (wife, Sheryll); a daughter, Martha Jane Collins (husband, Jimmie); 5 grandchildren, Jimmie, Michelle, August, Theresa 5 great-grandchildren, Austin, Zoey, Annalyse, Tommy & Kaelyn; 2 sisters, Ethel Jackson & Virginia Korthuis, and by a number of extended family members & friends.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday August 13, 2021 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S., with Rev. Larry Litzell of Open Bible Baptist Church of East Palatka officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
