Harris Lee Lehmbeck

Funeral services for Harris Lee Lehmbeck, 81, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S., with Dr. Terry N. Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday July 30th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Harris was born October 19, 1939 in Pinehurst, Georgia. After moving between military bases here in the states and Guantanamo Bay, while his father was in the US Navy, the family settled in Jacksonville, FL, where Harris graduated from Terry Parker High School in the class of 1959. Harris was a member of the inaugural football team at Terry Parker, where he actually scored the schools first ever touchdown on a kick return. He was a member of the Masonic Order, Barnett Lodge #187 and a Shriner.Harris was preceded in death by his parents Norman Gene Lehmbeck & Jewell Ellen (Powell) Lehmbeck and by a brother, Joe Lehmbeck. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda Gail (Carter) Lehmbeck; 2 sons, Kevin Lehmbeck & Scott Lehmbeck (wife, Nancy); a daughter, Kristi (Lehmbeck) Blankenship; 5 grandchildren Jessica, Brian, Taylor, Skylar & Justin; a brother, Pierce Lehmbeck (wife, Karen) and by many extended family members & friends..Receiving FriendsGeorge H.
