BECKHAM: Capt. Harry D. Beckham, 92, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2018. Mr. Beckham was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. He retired from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, after serving faithfully for 49 years, rising to the rank of Captain. He was an active member of the Retired Firemans Assn. and was a member of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and they have so many great memories. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, the late Mary "Bonnie" Beckham. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Virginia Beckham; 4 sons, Kevin Beckham (Pamela), Walter Beckham, Bobby Henley and Steve Henley; Granddaughter, Gracyn Barclay and 12 other grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206 with Chaplain Percy J. Golden officiating.
