Obituary

Mr. Harry L. "Pete" Beynon, age 78, of Keystone Heights passed away peacefully May 7, 2014 in Starke. Mr. Beynon was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania where he met and married his beloved wife, Beverly. He was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy; was a lifetime member of The Loyal Order of Moose, and a member of Hope Baptist Church. In 1997 he and his wife moved to Keystone Heights from Hollywood, FL where he retired as a Horticulturist from Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Dad was a hard working man and only found comfort in providing for his family. He adored his children and grandchildren to the fullest. His wife Beverley had preceded him in death in 2000. He will be deeply missed by his three children; Lucinda Ammerman and spouse Kenneth Ammerman, daughter, Jacqueline Collinsworth and spouse Steve Collinsworth, and his son James (Mike) Beynon and spouse Kathy Flannery. Also left behind are his eight grandchildren; Christina Morgan and spouse Jesse Morgan, Ashley Hehir, Leslie Ammerman, Dana Bengtson and spouse Kris Bengtson, Tyler Collinsworth, Jonathan Flannery and spouse Evona Flannery, James Flannery, Joshua Flannery. Great grandchild Abigail and numerous family members and friends will truly miss him. A celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNEARL HOME CHAPEL with Dr. Larry Strickland officiating. Interment will follow at the Keystone Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Hope Baptist Church, 3900 SR 100, Starke, FL 32091.
