Harry Nelson Green

Mr. Harry Nelson Green age 87, of Starke passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Mr. Green was born on August 8, 1832 in Bradford County to the late Nelson and Winifred (Wimberly) Green and was a lifelong area resident. Harry was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lawtey and was the founding Chief of the Bradford County Volunteer Fire Department. He was Scout Master for Boy Scouts Troop 70 in the 1950s and was a Webelos den leader. Prior to retirement he was the owner/operator of Harry Green Auto Parts, and Ole Truck Antiques and Refinishing. His greatest local legacy will be his 911 mapping of Bradford and Union counties along with other counties in North Florida and Alabama. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Eoline G. Underhill. Survivors are, his wife of 61 years, Mabel Jane (Sublett) Green of Starke, his son, H. Nelson Green, Jr. of Starke, sister, Oleeta Hardenbrook of Starke, and his brother DeRitch Green of Brooker. Also left are several nieces and nephews. Due to current social restrictions, a memorial services will be held at a later date.
