Mr. Harry H. Hazen age 71 of Keystone Heights passed away following a lengthy illness on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Haven Hospice E. T. York Care Center in Gainesville. He was born on May 27, 1941 in Boscobel, Wisconsin to the late Floyd and Margie (Rice) Hazen. Mr. Hazen had received his Honorable Discharge from United States Air Force following eight years of service. Upon returning to the Keystone area he attended St. Johns Junior College and the University of Florida where he graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. He taught at Keystone Heights Elementary School for 3 years before going to General Electric in Hague. He held many positions in the battery business under several different companies at that location prior to retirement. He was a member of the Am Vet Post and the American Legion in Keystone Heights. Mr. Hazen was also very talented; he could play music by ear on many different instruments, which led to him becoming a Native American Fluter. Mr. Hazen is survived by his wife of 51 years; Linda (Lovorn) Hazen and their two children; Deborah Hazen Cluff and her husband David of Crestview and Gerald Alan Hazen and his wife Tamatha of Melbourne. Mr. Hazen also leaves behind his three loving grandchildren, Courtney Hazen, Emily Hazen, and Rollin Cluff. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by us all. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 2 oclock in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. The family has asked that contributions be made to the Haven Hospice, E.T.
