Harry Thomas Pickering, 90, of Gainesville, passed away on September 6, 2012. He was born in Milford, Connecticut and moved to the area 25 years ago. He retired from Southern Bell as an installer. He enjoyed working with his hands and working in the yard. He was an avid Gaotr Football and NFL fan.He is survived byhis wife of 70 years, Virginia Pickering; son, Earle Pickering of Gainesville, daughter, Debra Chapman of San Diego, CA; grandchildren: Christopher, Gregory, Joseph and Sandi, and 8 great-grandchildren.Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville, FL.
