Hazel N. Geiger

Hazel N. Geiger, 93, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs and the daughter of the late Stacy and Beatrice (Powers) Geiger. Ms. Geiger was a school teacher for Clay County for 50 years and was a member of Oakleaf Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her siblings, Hilda G. Summersill, Stacy Lorell Geiger, and Zane Hampton. Survivors are her nephews, Jan Allen (Kathy) of Jacksonville, Gary Allen (Diane) of Odon, Indiana, and Don Geiger (Scarlett) of Newberry and niece Nina of Gainesville, and her dear friends, Robert and Sherri Ball of Fleming Island. She is also survived by her great nephews, Eric Allen, George Allen (Kristin), Clinton Allen (Kathy), and Arty Allen and her great nieces, Natalie Allen and Marjorie Scalf (Mike), 11 great-great nephews, 1 great-great niece, as well as other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel, 1811 Idlewild Avenue, SR 16, Green Cove Springs with Pastor Robert Ball officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
